After decades working for Watson Bull & Porter and Wrights Estate Agents, Bob struck out on his own (we believe in the mid 1990’s – his record keeping wasn’t as good as his agency skills).  Bob, helped by his wife Ann and daughter Donna went from strength to strength and built a great agency known for its traditional values and trustworthiness. 

Fast forward to 2011 and Bob was nearing retirement.  Ben Hollis (local architect, property developer and estate agency consultant) had worked alongside Bob many times over the years and knew the trusted reputation and core values.  Spotting an opportunity to take the great little company onwards into the next generation, Ben made Bob an offer he couldn’t refuse and took over the reins in December 2011.  Starting with just Ben and a couple of part time assistants, Lancasters was born.  Building on the success of its strong Sales performance, a Lettings department was added in 2014. From that humble acorn, Lancasters has now grown into the leading Isle of Wight Estate Agency it is today.

 And as for Bob… he retired to sunny Spain where he continues to work on his much deserved mahogany tan to this day.
